Ideal temperature: 20-28°C. Minimum: 5°C for short periods. Some varieties tolerate light frost. Bring indoors in the fall in Quebec.
🌱 Fertilization
Apply a balanced fertilizer every 4-6 weeks in spring and summer. A fertilizer for tropical fruit trees is recommended.

Repot every 2-3 years in spring. Use rich, slightly acidic, and well-draining potting soil. Jaboticaba is slow-growing.
✂️ Size
Minimum pruning required. Remove only dead or poorly positioned branches. Fruits on the trunk and old branches.
🐛 Common problems
- Very slow growth: Normal, patience required
- Yellow leaves: Excess water or iron deficiency
- Few pests: Hardy tree
🍇 Fruiting
Can produce fruit as early as 5-8 years (grafted varieties are faster). Purple-black fruit growing directly on the trunk. Muscat grape flavor. Consume quickly.
Tropico-Québec Tip: Jaboticaba is slow-growing but worth the patience. Grafted varieties fruit more quickly.
