How pre-orders Work – Tropico-Québec
Most of our sales are made through pre-orders. This allows you to reserve your plants early in the season and ensures availability in spring.
🛒 1. Place your order now
pre-orders open months in advance. Payment is taken immediately to reserve the plant with our growers or set it aside in our greenhouses.
📦 2. Your plants are reserved
Once your order is placed, your plants are immediately:
- reserved or ordered from our suppliers
- tagged under your name
- set aside in our greenhouses if already available
🌱 3. Winter growth & monitoring
During winter, we monitor:
- rooting and grafting success
- winter growth conditions
- overall plant health
Final plant height may vary depending on growth during the cold season.
🚚 4. Spring shipping when temperatures are safe
We only ship when there is no risk of frost at both locations.
- Shipping begins in May–June depending on your region
- Safe delivery via Purolator or GLS
- Local pickup available by appointment
❄️ 5. Winter pause
Shipping stops in late October and resumes in spring.
🔁 6. Cancellations
- 0–7 days: refund minus $10 fee
- 8–45 days: store credit
- After 45 days: no cancellation possible
(Live plants are considered perishable goods under Canadian consumer regulations.)
