🍎 Wax Jambu (Water Apple)
Crisp and refreshing fruit, apple texture with subtle flavor.
The Wax Jambu (Syzygium samarangense) produces beautiful bell-shaped fruits that are crisp and juicy.
☀️ Light
Full sun. Minimum 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day for good fruit production.
💧 Watering
Water regularly and generously. Keep the soil consistently moist but well-drained. Wax Jambu thrives in humid conditions.
🌡️ Temperature
Ideal temperature: 22-30°C. Minimum temperature: 15°C. Very sensitive to cold. Indoor plant in Quebec, can be moved outdoors in summer.
🌱 Fertilization
Apply a balanced fertilizer (10-10-10) every 4-6 weeks in spring and summer. A fertilizer for tropical fruit trees is recommended.
🪴 Repotting
Repot every 2-3 years in spring. Use rich, well-draining, slightly acidic potting soil. Good drainage is essential.
✂️ Size
Prune after fruiting to maintain a compact shape. Thin out the center to promote air circulation.

- Fruit flies: Protect the fruit with bags
- Yellow leaves: Excess water or iron deficiency
