- Substrate: very well-draining potting soil, such as Pro-Mix HP or similar, with a little perlite.
- Watering: allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings; avoid letting water stagnate in the cachepot.
- Fertilizer: apply citrus or fruit tree fertilizer every 2–3 weeks during the growing season.
- Temperature: bring the plant indoors before nighttime temperatures drop below 5°C; never expose to frost.
- Wintering: very bright room, cool to temperate; reduced watering but without complete drying of the substrate.
❓ Differences: cutting (5" pot), grafted, dwarf
- Cutting : clone on its own roots; compact format, bears fruit in the first year if conditions are good.
- Grafted : scion on selected rootstock; vigor/entry into production often first or second year.
- Dwarf : naturally compact habit (dwarfing cultivar/rootstock); normal-sized fruit. Often begins producing fruit in the first or second year.
