Colocasia is highly sought after for its variegated foliage of white and green, sometimes with touches of cream. Each leaf is different, making it an exceptional collector's plant.

• Foliage: green leaves widely variegated with white, cream and darker green.
• Habit & size: clump of 60–100 cm in pot, more in open ground in summer.
• Use: star plant in a pot, collection greenhouse, tropical flower bed.
• Special features: very decorative variegation which requires bright light without scorching sun.
• Format received: young plant in a 4" pot.

Care sheet – Culture in Canada

• Light: bright partial shade to gentle sun; outdoors in summer, avoid hot and dry locations.
• Watering: Water regularly; the substrate should remain fresh to moist, especially in hot weather.
• Substrate: rich, humus-rich potting soil that tolerates moisture but is still well-draining in pots.
• Temperature: optimal growth between 18 and 30 °C; protect from cold below 10–12 °C.
• Fertilizer: fertilize every 2–3 weeks during the growing season for XXL foliage.
• Outdoor cultivation: excellent in large pots or very moist beds in summer; bring in pots or dig up bulbs before the first frosts.
